| | Pets that many of us have in our homes present a real challenge for us to keep our homes clean and free of pet hair and odors. Here are some tips and suggestions for types of vacuums and accessories that may help. |
| Upright Vacuums
Uprights are ideal for cleaning homes with more carpeting than bare floors. Many high quality vacuums we sell have a metal brush roll that uses four long-lasting, highly resilient nylon bristles that are stiffer than most bristles on other brands of vacuums. Stiffer bristles are designed to pick up more dirt from your carpet, including hair, and provide for better grooming of your carpet. The bristles "ball" up the pet hair, making it easier for the vacuum to pick up.
Keeping the dust you pick up from blowing back out of your vacuum is very important. Many of the vacuums we sell feature Filtrete & HEPA filter media, which captures 99.97% of all contaminants, making them a perfect choice for allergy sufferers. Other machines we sel use carbon in one of their filters to remove odors as the air moves through your vacuum to make the exhausted air smell fresh. These high quality filters capture contaminants as small as 0.1 microns like dust, pollen, ragweed, dust mites, bacteria, and tobacco smoke. Tools and Attachments
Optional tools and attachments, such as turbo brushes will make cleaning easier and more effective when cleaning pet hair on furniture, draperies, and hard to reach places.
We offer many different attachment sets for your special needs cleaning or for cleaning those hard to reach places that are usually piled with pet hair. All attachments are universal fit-all for any model or brand. Simply plug one end of the hose into the back of your vacuum and the other end attach your desired brush. Clean your stairs, furniture, blinds, curtains, ceiling fans, closets, cars and more. Most sets come with a hose, attachment wands and other brushes and attachments. Canister Vacuums
Canister vacuums are best suited for homes that have more bare floors than carpeting. Pet owners with a lot of bare floor surfaces generally find canisters as the most effective vacuum to use for cleaning these types of homes and eliminating pet hair. Canisters are easy to maneuver and have the same great filtration as an upright. Using attachment tools with the canisters will maximize your cleaning ability.
